The rapper Future convinced an Illinois federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit alleging his hit “When I Think About It” infringed a similarly named song.
None of the elements that DaQuan Robinson, a Virginia hip-hop artist who performs as Gutta, claimed Future’s song shared with his 2017 song “When U Think About It” were protectable, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled.
