Rap Producers Say Travis Scott Ripped Off ‘Highest in the Room’

Travis Scott’s number-one hit “Highest in the Room” ripped off a recording made by a trio of European rap producers, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in Los Angeles federal court.

Olivier Bassil, Benjamin Lasnier, and Lukas Benjamin Leth said Scott’s song misused their “Cartier,” which they had earlier sent to some of Scott’s producers.

Scott “boasts in ‘Highest in the Room’ that others ‘fill my mind up with ideas’ and that ‘we [are] gon[na] stay on top and break the rules,’” the complaint says. “Here, Defendants did just that with complete disregard for Plaintiffs’ rights.”
