Attorneys for MGA Entertainment Inc. asked a federal judge to impose additional sanctions against the lawyer of a disbanded teen vocal group who accused them of racism and misconduct in an intellectual property suit.
In a Monday filing in the Central District of California, MGA’s attorneys said Erin Ranahan and her firm Winston & Strawn LLP displayed “unprofessional and prejudicial” conduct after a mistrial was declared in the case, including by calling MGA attorney Jennifer Keller’s cross examination of an OMG Girlz witness racist.
