Qualcomm, MediaTek Accused of Infringing Three Wireless Patents

Qualcomm Inc. and MediaTek USA Inc. and their customers use technology covered by three wireless communication patents in their chips or chipsets without authorization or a license, patent owner Bell Northern Research LLC argues in a new suit.

Bell Northern, a descendant of Bell Labs and Nortel, alleges in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California that the chipmakers infringe US Patent Nos.
