Qualcomm Can’t Escape Texas Patent Suit Over Snapdragon Products

Qualcomm Inc. failed to convince a Texas federal judge to throw out Polaris Innovations Ltd.’s patent infringement suit centered on Snapdragon and X Series processors.

Polaris sufficiently alleged its claims against Qualcomm, Judge Alan Albright said in a docket entry filed Tuesday in the in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. He denied Qualcomm’s motion to dismiss, which argued Polaris only described conduct by its unit Qualcomm Technologies Inc. and not by Qualcomm Inc. itself.
