Purdue U, Chipmaker Wolfspeed Settle Semiconductor Patent Suit

Wolfspeed Inc. and Purdue University ended hostilities in the school’s three-year-plus patent dispute against the chipmaker over semiconductor technology.

The two sides agreed to have the case dismissed, according to a notice filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Northern Carolina, where Wolfspeed is based. About a month earlier, the parties notified the court the case was “Settled telephonically,” according to a docket entry.
