Prince Photog Asked How Supreme Court Ruling Impacts Warhol Case

The Second Circuit asked a photographer how the Supreme Court’s Google v. Oracle ruling impacts her copyright infringement win over the Andy Warhol Foundation.

Lynn Goldsmith convinced a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit panel that Warhol infringed her photo of the music icon Prince. The court asked her to brief it on the implications of the monumental copyright fair use ruling in Google v. Oracle, issued a week later.

The foundation cited the case as it requested that the full circuit review and reverse the decision.
