Priest Who Ran Hedge Fund Gets Chance to Recoup Litigation Cost

An ordained Greek Orthodox priest who’s also a hedge fund manager will have another chance in district court to argue the SEC should pay his attorneys’ fees and litigation costs, the First Circuit said Tuesday.

Gregory Lemelson, also known as Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Lemelson, sought to recoup fees and costs under the Equal Access to Justice Act on the basis that the Securities and Exchange Commission made demands substantially in excess of the final judgment.
