Priceline and Booking Keep Win Over Patent-Infringement Lawsuit

Priceline.com LLC and Booking.com BV didn’t infringe a patent to display product and price information from different merchants, the Federal Circuit affirmed Monday.

The case centers on DDR Holdings LLP’s US Patent No. 7,818,399, the first patent to survive a challenge that it covers an abstract idea under the US Supreme Court’s 2014 decision in Alice Corp. Pty Ltd. v. CLS Bank Int’l.
