Customers of Snap Finance LLC won preliminary approval for a $1.8 million class action settlement with the company, resolving allegations that the digital lender’s negligence allowed hackers access to sensitive data in federal Utah court.
- Members of the settlement class would receive up to $5,000 each for losses caused by the data breach and cash payments of up to $500 pro-rata. A subclass of California residents would be able to receive up to $200 for violations of the California Consumer Privacy Act.
