The parent company of the website Pornhub will not face a criminal charge over the company’s ties with the sex-trafficking ring GirlsDoPorn, according to a deferred prosecution agreement released on Thursday.
Aylo Holdings SARL, formerly known as MindGeek, agreed to three years of independent third-party monitoring to assess compliance with an obligation to stop uploads and dissemination of illegal content.
In exchange, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York will dismiss a single charge of an unlawful monetary transaction with GirlsDoPorn, a San Diego-based production company that illegally coerced women into filming sexually explicit videos.
