Porn Industry Group Loses Appeal in Bid to Block Utah Age Checks

The Tenth Circuit threw out the adult entertainment industry’s bid to block Utah from enforcing its recently-enacted age verification law, requiring visitors of sites like Pornhub to prove their age before accessing the site.

The Free Speech Coalition Inc.'s complaint targeted two state officials who neither enforce nor shape enforcement of the act, Judge Nancy L. Moritz said in a Tuesday decision. The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit affirmed the lower court’s dismissal of the suit against Utah Attorney General Sean D. Reyes and Commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety Jess L. Anderson.
