Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc.—the largest U.S. youth football organization—moved to dismiss its claims that
Pop Warner told the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Feb. 1 that Hanes sold “Pop Warner” merchandise and improperly used the name in search ads for football uniforms. The organization said Champion’s infringing apparel is similar to the clothes that Pop Warner sells and licenses, and that Hanes was “appropriating Plaintiffs’ brand of academic and athletic excellence.”
