Pop Mart ‘Beanie Sprites’ Sales Blocked During Ty Trademark Suit

Pop Mart, known for its Labubu collectibles, was blocked from selling a line of its “Pucky Series” products after a federal judge in Illinois found it likely that the toys infringe Ty Inc.'s “Beanie Babies” and related trademarks.

Pop Mart Americas Inc.'s “Beanie Sprites"—described as “a group of sprites born from the dreamy snot bubbles of a dozing PUCKY fairy"—are close enough to Ty’s plush collectibles that there’s a likelihood of customer confusion, Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman said Monday.
