A Seattle-area dog waste removal business told a federal court in Seattle that a Spokane-based upstart is infringing its trademark after adopting a confusingly similar name.
Pooper Trooper LLC, which has been operating since 2003, filed a lawsuit Monday in US District Court for the Western District of Washington accusing Scoop Troop LLC, which has operations in Seattle, of trademark infringement.
The lawsuit notes that Scoop Troop, which was started in late 2020, filed for a trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office but was denied in 2022.
