A porn producer’s copyright and trademark claims against the Polish owner of a site that uploaded its material for free were properly bounced from Arizona federal court for a lack of U.S. jurisdiction, the Ninth Circuit ruled Monday.
AMA Multimedia LLC produces and distributes “adult entertainment,” and owns multiple websites where paying costumers can view its material. It sued Marcin Wanat for hosting its videos for free on his site ePorner.com.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona found it didn’t have jurisdiction over Wanat, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed.
