A long-running patent infringement case involving all-terrain vehicle industry rivals Arctic Cat Inc. and Polaris Industries Inc. got mixed results.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota ruled on March 11 that Arctic Cat infringed one patent and didn’t infringe another.
Polaris owned 90 percent of the market share for 4x4 trail recreational off-road vehicles. Polaris filed five patent infringement lawsuits against Arctic Cat related to its vehicles when Arctic Cat introduced a competing product.
