Playboy Sues Fashion Nova Over ‘Bunny’ Halloween Costume

A Halloween costume from online apparel seller Fashion Nova Inc. infringes Playboy’s trademark rights in its Bunny costume, a complaint filed Tuesday in federal court in Los Angeles alleges.

Playboy Enterprises International Inc. told the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California that Fashion Nova infringes four federal trademarks covering its Bunny costume. The Bunny mark includes the costume’s “iconic bunny ears, tail, ribbon name tag, wrist cuffs, corset, and bowtie collar,” according to the complaint.
