Pitbull’s Record Label Settles Copyright Suit Over ‘I Feel Good’

Musical artist Pitbull’s record label settled a copyright lawsuit that accused his song “I Feel Good” of copying the melody, rhythm, and more from a work called “Samir’s Theme,” according to a federal court order.

The US District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the suit in a Wednesday order, after All Surface Publishing Inc. notified the court Tuesday it reached a settlement in principle with all defendant’s, including Pitbull’s record label Mr. 305 Inc., music distribution company The Orchard, and Paul Edward Blair, who goes by DJ White Shadow.
