Philips Wins MRI Access Antitrust Claims in Puerto Rico, for Now

A company that services medical equipment saw its antitrust claims dismissed against Philips Medical Systems Puerto Rico Inc. over its MRI machines after a federal court found it failed to detail a relevant market.

Alpha Biomedical & Diagnostic Corp. countersued Philips in response to claims that it infringed copyrights and misappropriated trade secrets in servicing Philips’ MRI systems.

Philips’ claims in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico against Alpha are still ongoing.
