Philips LLC convinced a federal judge to toss out antitrust counterclaims brought against the company in a copyright and trade secrets lawsuit over the firm’s ultrasound technology.
Judge Steven C. Seeger said the defendants’ ask to view its allegations of Philips’ anticompetitive conduct as an “aggregate” was a “bad argument,” in an opinion filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
