Philips Hit With Baby Monitor Tech Patent Infringement Suit

Philips North America LLC baby monitors are accused of infringing two patents covering inter-device connection by the non-practicing entity that holds them.

Philips’ monitors infringe Cloud Systems Holdco LLC’s US Patent Nos. 8,533,326 and 8,909,779, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas on Wednesday.

The patents cover a method and system “for managing, routing, and controlling devices and inter-device connections,” per their titles. Cloud Systems noted that it’s asserted similar patents against Google LLC in another lawsuit in the same court.
