The NBA’s Phoenix Suns settled a copyright suit alleging it used a group of publishers’ music in promotional videos—ending the last of 14 suits against professional basketball teams.
The Wednesday notice of settlement filed by the plaintiff publishers—including Kobalt Music Publishing America Inc.—comes a day after settlements were announced in suits against nine other teams in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Terms of the agreements weren’t immediately available, and counsel for the parties in the Suns’ suit didn’t immediately respond to emailed requests for comment.
