Pfizer Must Disclose FBI Texts, Emails in Trade Secrets Suit (2)

Pfizer Inc. must produce emails and text messages it exchanged with the FBI to two former employees it sued for allegedly stealing trade secrets related to a “revolutionary” diabetes and obesity treatment, a federal court in Connecticut ordered.

Pfizer waived protection of the communications because it failed to dispute that it voluntarily disclosed the documents to the Federal Bureau of Investigation to incite the agency to investigate the defendants, the US District Court for the District of Connecticut ruled Feb. 3.
