Peraton’s Ex-Employee Beats Injunction Bid Over Trade Secrets

Pentagon tech defense contractor Peraton Inc. failed to show it’d be irreparably harmed without a preliminary injunction barring a former employee accused of stealing trade secrets from using the allegedly pilfered intelligence.

Peraton failed to counter Sam Hussain’s sworn declaration that he deleted sensitive emails three days after he forwarded them to himself, the US District Court for the District of Maryland said. The lack of evidence undercutting Hussain and Peraton’s unwillingness to cooperate with his counsel to schedule a hearing undermined claims of irreparable harm, the court said.
