PepsiCo Sued by Hydrating Drink Maker to Block Gatorlyte Launch

Mexican company Laboratorios Pisa SA de CV—the maker of Electrolit rehydration drinks—sued PepsiCo Inc. in Texas federal court for allegedly ripping off its packaging and trying to force it out of the U.S. market with its new Gatorlyte drink.

It asked the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Thursday to block PepsiCo’s planned launch of Gatorlyte, which Pisa says will start as soon as Feb. 21.
