German manufacturer Pepperl+Fuchs SE faces new patent infringement allegations over data reader technology.
The company’s RFID readers and write devices use similar methods as US Patent No. 10,133,888, Ubiquitous Audio Synchronicity LLC said in a Thursday complaint in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Ubiquitous Audio alleges Pepperl+Fuchs provided the devices to customers with instructions on how to use them in an infringing manner.
The ‘888 patent relates to a data reader and positioning system, allowing data to be read by radio waves like a RFID tag or radio IC tag, according to patent records. ...
