The University of Pennsylvania on Thursday dismissed trademark infringement claims against two corporate officers of education company Edvantic Inc., in its lawsuit alleging Edvantic and CredForce America Inc. continue to use the Wharton name illegally.
The university notified the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania of the voluntary dismissal but preserved the right to refile.
The notice provided no further details and counsel didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
The filing doesn’t affect claims against CredForce, Edvantic, and Edvantic President and CEO Rajiv Gupta.
