Peloton Knocks Willful Infringement Allegations Out of iFit Suit

NordicTrack maker iFit Inc. failed to convince a federal court in Delaware that rival Peloton Interactive Inc.'s alleged infringement of its weight cradle patent was willful.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware found iFit, formerly called Icon Health and Fitness, didn’t show that Peloton deliberately or intentionally infringed its U.S. Patent No. 10,864,407. Peloton’s knowledge of the patent and the fact that it continued to sell its allegedly infringing Bike+ are insufficient to support a willfulness finding, the court said.
