Oregon-based PayRange Inc. accused a laundry-machine operator of copying its patented mobile-payment system for unattended machines and profiting at least $108 million, according to a federal lawsuit filed Monday.
CSC ServiceWorks Inc. used a potential partnership with PayRange to steal patented technology used in a new mobile application, CSC Go, in 2020, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. CSC “extracted information from PayRange to provide CSC with a technical shortcut, thus brazenly disregarding PayRange’s patent rights,” PayRange said in its complaint.
