Pavemetrics Wins Jury Trial in Tetra Tech 3D Rail Patent Dispute

A California jury threw out Tetra Tech Inc.'s 3D railroad track assessment patent after it threatened to sue a rival.

Pavemetrics Systems Inc. didn’t infringe Tetra Tech’s patents, a jury in the US District Court for the Central District of California found. The jury also invalidated the patents, finding that several claims would’ve been obvious to a skilled expert.
