The US Patent and Trademark Office will allow more stakeholders to submit feedback on its recent guidance about how much human involvement is necessary to secure protection for AI-assisted inventions.
The PTO will consider additional comments as it continues to review its policy after initially setting a May 13 comment deadline for the February guidance, Director Kathi Vidal told Bloomberg Law Thursday during the Promoting Competition in AI event co-hosted by the US Department of Justice and Stanford Graduate School of Business in Palo Alto, Calif.
