The US Patent and Trademark Office is launching a Patent Prosecution Highway pilot program with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia on March 2, according to a Tuesday news release.
The PPH program will enable applicants to receive an expedited patentability decision in a second office by allowing applicants who get a positive ruling on patent claims from one participating office to request accelerated prosecution of corresponding claims in another, the USPTO said.
The program will run for three years, according to the USPTO.
