The US Patent and Trademark Office brought on a new acting general counsel as the previous legal chief shifted to acting chief compliance officer, the agency confirmed Tuesday.
Nicholas Matich is the agency’s acting general counsel, the USPTO confirmed. Matich previously held that role in 2020 and worked prior to that as a senior legal adviser to the PTO director. He was a principal at McKool Smith since 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile.
