Environmentally conscious outdoor clothing maker Patagonia Inc. settled its trademark claims in Los Angeles against a company that sold pro-oil “Petrogonia” clothing.
Patagonia told the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California about the settlement in a Monday filing. Details of the settlement weren’t immediately available.
OC Media LLC, a marketing agency focused on the oil-and-gas industry, allegedly infringed Patagonia’s trademarks in its name and mountain silhouette logo by using the confusingly similar “Petrogonia” name in a nearly identical font with silhouettes of oil well machinery.
