Patagonia Drops Mountain Peaks Trademark Suit Against Be Hippy

Patagonia Inc. dropped its lawsuit accusing apparel brand Be Hippy LLC of infringing its trademarks for logos depicting the silhouette of the jagged peaks of the Mt. Fitz Roy skyline, according to a federal court filing.

Patagonia on Monday filed a notice of voluntary dismissal, without prejudice, in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The notice didn’t include an explanation for dismissal, and Be Hippy and counsel for Patagonia didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
