Parsons Xtreme Golf Tees Off on Texas Clubmaker in Patent Suit

A Scottsdale, Ariz. golf company sued a Texas clubmaker for infringement of two patents Tuesday.

The Arizona company, Parsons Xtreme Golf, is a project of GoDaddy Inc. founder and self-described “golf nut” Bob Parsons. Parsons teamed up with golf club designers Michael R. Nicolette, and Bradley D. Schweigert to make “a sexy set of golf irons that look like blades, launch higher, go farther, feel softer and have a sweet spot the size of Texas,” according to the PXG website.

In developing its line of golf clubs, PXG also came to own "[m]ore than 200 global patents,” the site says. ...
