Minnesota-based Municipal Parking Services Inc. accused a rival and one of its lot-owner customers of infringing patents covering automated parking-monitoring systems.
MPS said Parking Revenue Recovery Services Inc. copied its patents through the development and sale of an automated recognition and compliance system installed in lots in Austin, Texas. MPS’s complaint was filed Monday at the US District Court for the Western District of Texas and also named as a defendant PRRS customer LAZ Parking, a lot and garage operator with a national footprint and several facilities in Austin.
