Paramount Skydance Corp. convinced a federal court to dismiss a proposed children’s privacy class suit filed over Pluto TV’s alleged collection of minor users’ data for advertising giants.
The plaintiffs lacked standing to bring claims under the Video Privacy Protection Act and Electronic Communications Privacy Act, Judge Kenly Kiya Kato of the US District Court for the Central District of California said Tuesday. Kato granted leave to amend.
