Mobile cash-game company Papaya Gaming Ltd. accused several political consultants of working for a competitor to build a deceptive website that portrays the rival as the only honest broker in the industry.
The now-defunct website 4FairPlay.org and the Chicago- and New York-based consultants in Chicago and New York who developed it “embarked on a fraudulent crusade” using “phony customer testimonials” to smear Papaya and other mobile gaming companies for their alleged use of bots in player-versus-player cash-prize contests, according to an amended complaint filed April 4 in federal court in US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
