Oura Targets Smart-Ring Competitors With Patent Suits in Texas

Ouraring Inc. accused Reebok International Ltd. and two other companies of patent infringement with their competing smart-ring products.

Reebok, Zepp Health Corp., and Nexxbase Marketing Pvt., which does business as Noise and Lunazone, each created an “imitation” of the Oura Ring, according to three similar complaints filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Oura said the competitors infringed eight patents covering a wearable computing device.
