Oura Health Oy sued RingConn LLC in federal court seeking a royalty for sales of smart rings that Oura alleges infringe two of its patents, including one central to a trade-agency bid to block US imports of rival products.
OuraRing Inc., a US subsidiary of the Finnish parent, said the first two generations of the Smart Ring—sold by RingConn, the US arm of China’s Shenzhen Ninenovo Technology Ltd.—infringe US Patent Nos. 11,868,178 and 11,188,124, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
