Orca Security’s Patent Suit Slams Wiz for ‘Wholesale Copying’

A cloud-security pioneer is alleging Wiz Inc.—a New York-based start-up that quickly exploded to prominence in the cybersecurity industry—achieved its growth by ripping off its technology and patents.

Israel-based Orca Security Ltd. said the secret to the success of Wiz, which lists companies like Slack and Salesforce.com Inc. as clients, isn’t complicated: “Wiz has built its business on a simple business plan: Copy Orca,” Orca said in its complaint, filed Wednesday in US District Court for the District of Delaware.
