Oracle Hit With Patent Suit by Developer Over 5G Network Tech

A company founded by two inventors sued Oracle Corp. , accusing its 4G and 5G wireless products of infringing a trio of patents.

Oracle’s 5G Core Network and related systems, including Cloud Native Core and Acme Packet Platforms, infringe US Patents Nos. 7,697,508, 8,213,417, and 7,231,330, Mobility Workx LLC said in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.

The ‘508 and ‘417 patents concern “methods for proactive allocation of wireless communications resources,” while the ‘330 patent protects a “method for rapid mobility network emulator,” according to the complaint. Mobility ...
