Comedian Sarah Silverman and author Ta-Nehisi Coates accused OpenAI Inc. of “procedural gamesmanship” in their California copyright infringement case, for opting to move forward with a nearly identical case in New York before their own.
Silverman, Coates and other authors, who were among the first to sue OpenAI , asked a San Francisco federal judge to block the company from moving forward with the similar dispute in New York, arguing the AI firm reneged on its plan to prioritize the West Coast case because the company objected to the case schedule.
