OpenAI Inc. asked to postpone a hearing over iyO Inc.'s bid to block its use of “io” branding for AI hardware products in a trademark dispute until next year, saying it has already decided to drop the name.
OpenAI ‘s motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California detailed its unsuccessful efforts to resolve the matter with iyO and suggested the court could “promote judicial efficiency” by maintaining the existing temporary retraining order in the case and postponing the April preliminary injunction hearing until January 2027.
