Open Key Hits Back At Patent Owner Going After Hotel Dispute

OpenKey Inc. sued electric-vehicle charging company Liberty Access Technologies Licensing LLC, for falsely accusing OpenKey’s customers of infringing patented mobile-key based hotel door locking products.

OpenKey’s products do not infringe Liberty’s five patents, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virgina. OpenKey seeks a judgment of non-infringement concerning US Patent Nos. 9,373,205; 10,657,747; 11,217,053; 11,373,474 and 11,443,579.
