A patent owner accused Japan-based
Omron’s D6F-W/D6F-V Sensor detects gas filter clogging issues similar to US Patent No. 7,178,410, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Clean Alert Innovations LLC said Omron infringed the patent, which protects the plaintiff’s Filterscan and AirFilterSentry products.
The ‘410 patent protects a method for a clogging detector for air filters.
The patent’s original owner, CleanAlert LLC, designed and manufactured home and commercial HVAC filters, according to the complaint. ...
