Omron Corp. Hit with Patent Suit Over Air Filter Sensor Products

A patent owner accused Japan-based Omron Corp. of infringing a patent by creating and selling sensors for air filter systems.

Omron’s D6F-W/D6F-V Sensor detects gas filter clogging issues similar to US Patent No. 7,178,410, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Clean Alert Innovations LLC said Omron infringed the patent, which protects the plaintiff’s Filterscan and AirFilterSentry products.

The ‘410 patent protects a method for a clogging detector for air filters.
