OmniVision Sues to Clear Digital Image Sensors of Patent Claims

Will Semiconductor Co.’s OmniVision unit filed a federal lawsuit seeking a judgment that its digital imaging sensors used in high-end smartphones don’t infringe two patents that Pictos Technologies once wielded in disputes with Samsung Electronics.

RE Secured Networks LLC acquired US Patent Nos. 7,323,671 and 7,800,145 from Pictos in July 2022, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
