Fraud Free Transactions LLC accused Ping Identity Corp. and Okta Inc. of infringing its patent with their identity-authentication products.
They use a method for preventing fraud in secured transactions, covered by US Patent No. 12,229,768, according to separate complaints filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
Fraud Free said Ping’s PingOne system uses similar methods as the ‘768 patent for verifying a user’s identity and incorporating ways to determine a risk level of a user attempting to access a transaction application.
